Monday (15/10), participants from higher education institutions and industrial community in Indonesia participated in attending the opening of Digital Talent Scholarship 2018 in the Faculty of Computer Science Auditoriun Universitas Indonesia (Fasilkom UI), Depok. Digital Talent Scholarship Program is a scholarship tranining program that was initated by Agency of Research and Development of Human Resources, the Ministry of Communications and Informatics of the Republic of Indonesia to prepare the digital talents to face forward industrial revolution 4.0. There were five universities as partners incorporating to the success of the program: Universitas Indonesia, Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology, Bandung Institute of Technology, Gadjah Mada University, and Padjajaran University. Those five universities also worked together with Ministry of Communications and Informatics of the Republic of Indonesia which were having roles as workshop trainer provider and host.
The Digital Talent Workshop brought in 5 themes to the participants: 1) Artificial Intelligence, 2) Big Data, 3) Cyber-Security, 4) Cloud Computing, 5) Digital Business. Faculty of Computer Science administered the workshop with a title of ‘Cloud Computing dan Cyber Security,’ held for 5 weeks in UI Campus, Depok. Farida Dwi Cahyarini (Secretary General Ministry of Communications and Informatics of the Republic of Indonesia), opened the Digital Talent Workshop in the the Faculty of Computer Science (Fasilkom UI), collaborated with Mirna Adriani, Ph.D. (Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science UI), Sri Cahaya Khoironi (Widyaiswara Ministry of Communications and Informatics of the Republic of Indonesia), Denny, Ph.D. (Director of Center for Computer Science of Universitas Indonesia/ Pusilkom UI) and Harry Budi Santoso (Lecturer of the Faculty of Computer Science UI).
The opening of Digital Talent Scholarship Program 2018 in Faculty of Computer Science UI, also presented Gebby Oktapuri (Business Development Manager, Cloud Specialist – Microsoft), she lectured general course about “Industrial Revolution 4.0 & Human Resource Needs in Digital Area in Indonesia” and Dr. Anas Saidi, who delivered general course about Nationality Concepts. The Digital Talent Scholarship was the first program conducted by Ministry of Communications and Informatics of the Republic of Indonesia in collaboration with 5 other public universities (trainer provider) and supported by Microsoft (as certificate issuer according to theme of training).
