How long is the period of study?
Answer: The period last for a minimum of five terms (2.5 years) and a maximum of nine terms (4.5 years) by taking 12-15 credits in each term. 144 is the number of minimum total credits. However, the program gives the opportunity for students who are working during the day to complete their extension study to a maximum total of nine terms (including the completion of matriculation courses).

How about this program’s curriculum?
Answer: The curriculum for the extension program refers to the curriculum designed for the Bachelor Degree of Information System so that graduates from this extension program would still be on par with the regular program’s. However, the extension program also allows students to transfer credits from their previous D3 program, along with matriculation courses.
How do we transfer credits?
Answer: We have prepared a special team that will evaluate not only your transcripts (course titles, number of credits, and grades obtained), as well as any relevant work experience, track record, and other information that can help.
What kind of courses can be transferred?
Answer: Our evaluation team refers to an official Curriculum Guide to determine which courses have been fulfilled and which matriculation courses need to be added. All credits approved by the team will be transferred in blocks (without detailing the grades), and after graduation transcripts for extension program would only mention the number of credits taken by referring to the diploma transcript.
What “matriculation courses” means?
Answer: Matriculation courses refers to additional courses listed in Table 4 if transferred credits cannot reach the maximum number (72 credits). Lectures included in matriculation serve as the fundamental subjects required to support and to be mastered by all regular S1 students as stated in the curriculum. The evaluation team also has a role to determine which matriculation courses should be taken by the students.
Are similar subjects transferrable?
Answer: Transfer can only be carried in accordance to courses listed in the syllabus/the curriculum guide.
What about the minimum years of work experience? What will happen if the prospective students have less than two years of work experience? Is it still tolerable?
Answer: It is true that we require every applicant to have worked for at least two years, but it does not have to be a “formal” work experience (working in an official company, for example). It is still acceptable to report any self-employed or informal work experience as long as it is still related to IT field. In all cases, prospective students are asked to write a personal statement that is signed and given a stamp duty.
Is it possible for graduates from Remote Sensing and Geographic Information System D3 program to continue their study in this extension program?
Answer: As mentioned in the previous answer, we do not recommend students whose field do not suit this extension to sign up as to avoid failure in reaching the minimum credits (54 credits). However, as long as they meet the required standard, they can certainly continue to this program. Therefore, it is highly recommended to send your transcript (attached with a syllabus, if possible) to confirm whether you can enroll or not.
