Sarjana Degree (S1 - Bachelor)
The undergraduate program prepares the students for either entering the computing profession or continuing their study to the graduate level. To support the above purpose, a curriculum that maintains balance between theory and practice has been designed. In addition, the curriculum is sufficiently flexible to allow adaptation to new technology developments.
In their final year, students are expected to conduct a final project in a specific field of Computer Science. It is recommended that the final project be part of on going staff research activities. Furthermore, the topics can generally be grouped into four main streams, namely: Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, and Computer Architecture & Real-Time Systems. The Computer Science stream will stress on the issue of advancement and development of the discipline of computing, whereas the Information Technology stream will focus on a more applied oriented study to respond to the local industrial needs.
